Fake Face

“Who’s want to interview with this guy, bapak Almat?” the editor said in the office, to all journalist who stayed at the office for a while. Today, no covering agenda actually. But whether liked or not, this interview with Bapak Almat it’s gonna be happen to me. For sure, my free time is bothering with this bored agenda.

I almost five times interview with Bapak Almat, a guy with the beard and nice face. I think if I describe, Bapak Almat seems like a good man and have a holy with the religion. Many programs they work always share to me, whether it is for the image or the achievements.

Indeed, Bapak Almat working as a local government. And this guy as a client for my office for the cover. That’s true, his want his face always exist in the platform online media and e-magazine. Of course with the wise quotes, regarding of enhance development of the program in his region, as a local government.

I would say Bapak Almat is boring. Sure I have many reasons why I said that. Because you know, his answer are normative and no insight that can building enlightenment. His no have this and just being normative person.

“Why you always give me covering agenda with Bapak Almat?” I asked to editor by WhatsApp. My editor was reply me so faster.

“Because there’s have many agenda. So I giving this covering with Bapak Almat for you. Somehow to difficult or boring with her, you must to covering her for the us platform. You know, Bapak Almat is the client for us. So, we should give the good treatment for her images,” reply my editor.

I don’t want this will be problem. So I will covering Bapak Almat being so well. “For this point, I hope my program will be good for our people, specially my region. Honestly, it is made me so boring to covering her for news. But I must do.

“It’s already done. Then I will write if my order comes,” I answer while open my laptop. So I see the dust on screen and start to clean up with some tissue from the desk.

Latte Coffee is ready! The barista call my name to taking the order. Latte coffee with beautiful draw is ready to slurp. Before I start to writing, the editor was text for me suddenly. “Please be quick to writing, Bapak Almat don’t want for stay long,” those chat has been request.

“Okay, on the way to write. I’m on the laptop,” I reply for my editor. While I saw those photo, Bapak Almat sincere smiled on the camera. I look at this picture and finding something. I don’t know what it is. It just the abstract opinion or just being hated so much without excuse.

But true, I was unbelieve someone with the sincere smiled, whether in conversation or in the photo frame. I was thinking of that, someone with the sincere smiled had so much different in behind. I don’t think so, but I guess was that.

Someone with sincere smiled apparently has fake face who people don’t know. Everyone who living in this world, many people have fake face to hiding something from others. Usually, fake face people that seems very clever, specially hiding something. For this point, I’m even not like someone like that. That’s my assumption. I don’t know until when I have full of hated.

After writing Bapak Almat news, I was send this material by email to editor. Waiting for confirmation and went into editing again. Before write for several news, I slurp my latte coffee for ease my mind. I realize something while I scroll my mouse on the laptop. The one reason why people fake, it start from social media addiction. I don’t know why, but I know that people race for being good in social media, such as upload feed photos, story, or something there. Might be it’s start from there without realizing it.

From several news by social media that I know, sometimes any people was good in social media. But in the real life, there’s so fake and different person. Even, I got some case that someone being good in social media, they do act some shit like bullying for everyone. They give some shit words like body shaming to everyone until they got insecurity.

That’s why I’m not believe with people are used a good face or good person for the first time to people. Besides Bapak Almat who, people’s in the street, I think they has a fake face. I looked they on the street for long time, seeing they face in detail. Oh god! It is not my business.

“Hey, Bapak Almat request revision this news. Make it quick!” the editor send me text about Bapak Almat. I rubbed my face, “Oh my godness!” then, I revision this news are lazily.
